Question: Do you believe in true love? What about love at first sight?

Answer: How can I answer this without being unromantic? Don't get me wrong. I consider myself a real daydreamer. I like writing stories but they are mostly about love being lost.

I think if your lucky you will find love at first sight but it takes time to get to know someone and fall in love with them. I don't think it happens instantly. I don't even write it in my stories.

I think you have to work on true love because I believe true love is being committed to that person, trusting them and consider their failures, your failures and their successes, your success. Anyway, you get what I mean. What do you think?

Write to you guys later!

What a thought provoking question today! I always equate love at first sight with more of a lust or physical "love". It's possible that it turns into a true love which I believe is a deeper, more trusting feeling which comes after allowing yourself to open up and show your true self to someone. What's really great is if your true love can provoke those same love at first sight feelings after many years together!

Love at first sight DOES happen! And not only to one but both at the same time. I can vouch for it, 45 years later still married, still in love!

I agree with you! Love is a lot of work, but if you put your energy and focus you do come out with something amazing! I wish for that kind of love for you!

I like your questions!

I agree with Anne and BeadedTail. My husband and I fell in love at first sight and ours has lasted 32 years. I do think it was probably more of a "lust at first sight" but still it was that spark that led us to get to know and love each other deeper.

Great question, Nora!

LOVE This is a simple word that has so many meanings in the English language. We use that same word for people and ice cream. I think of love like a verb. It's something you DO, an action. not just a feeling. It takes work and commitment.

Now that I am older and experienced, I would have to totally agree with Sharla of BeadedTail.

Notice I said experienced and not wiser? LOL

The first time I met my husband, my heart fluttered. Each time after that when I heard his name or saw him, it happened again.

According to him, it was the same for him.

It was not until more than a year later that we had our first date and have been together ever since.

Next week we celebrate wedding anniversary #9, and 11 years together this summer!

He is my best friend, and favorite grown-up...
