My parents don't really read my blog but I thought post anyway cause I think it's amazing that they've been together for 29 years. That's a great feat in my book, especially in this day and age. So I thought I'd write a little post for them!

You might be wondering what is up with the title. Well, as your may know (or not) I'm part of a street team called EtsyBloggers and every other week, they present us with a couple of topics to choose and post about on our blog. This weeks is "In Summery" or in summary of our summer. So here goes...
A lot has happened this summer. In fact, it feels pretty weird to me not signing up for classes or getting nervous for the first day of school. This is because I just graduated from college with a B.A. in Art, concentrating on Graphic Design. I graduated from California State University Northridge. Even though school makes me nervous sometimes, I think I'm going to miss but I'm glad that part of my life is over.
But the hard part started... finding a job. With the economy like it is, it is very hard. I still try very hard to stick my foot in the door.
Anyway, after graduation I took a trip, like a road trip, from New Orleans to New York with a big bus full of Australians! It was a lot of fun, humid, but fun. I loved exploring my own country, parts I've never been too! I'd love to visit New Orleans and Savannah, GA again!
After that, I came back home and mostly worked on my Etsy shop. Making new things and mostly promoting it. Now I'm in the full swing of things, posting everyday new items and posting here everyday also. I have a few leads for freelance graphic design jobs so all in all, I'm doing pretty good.
I can't wait for fall because I love "California weather" in the fall. It's perfect! Thanks for reading and write to you soon!

I made the beads from polymer clay and the color I mixed myself. The beads are hand sanded and smooth with a layer of varnish for shine. Click on the pic for the listing!

... Purple! In college, in one of my art classes, I was told purple is a royal color. And I do like to think of myself as Queen! Just joking! Anyway, I like all colors but as long as I can remember purple has been my all time fav! I don't go around wearing purple lipstick but I've always thought that it's such a relaxing and calming color, especially lavendar. Hello, everyone. I hope your doing well. Anyway, this month is my birthday and I thought what better way to celebrate it then with a sale! Yes, that's right, from now until the end of September I am offering a 23% discount! You wonder how I came to 23%? Well, I am turning 23 this year!
